Brandan Robertson, Lead Pastor
Brandan Robertson is the Lead Pastor of Missiongathering Christian Church in San Diego, California. He is the primary preacher during our Sunday Gatherings and leads our staff, ministry teams, and church through management, vision, and pastoral care.
Brandan is the author of and contributor to six books, including Nomad: A Spirituality For Traveling Light, Our Witness: The Unheard Stories of LGBT+ Christians, Gay & Christian, No Contradiction, and True Inclusion. Acclaimed as one of "the most hope-inspiring young Christian leaders", Brandan speaks to audiences around the world casting a vision of hope and healing for the future of spirituality. He writes regularly for the Huffington Post, Patheos, and TIME Magazine, and is regularly interviewed in national media on topics pertaining to faith in public life. He is an adjunct instructor at San Francisco Theological Seminary and a consultant for Auburn Seminary in New York City.
He earned is Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry and Theology from Moody Bible Institute and his Masters of Theological Studies from Iliff School of Theology. In addition to serving as our Pastor, Brandan maintains a regular international teaching and activism ministry. Find out more here.
Our Pastoral Counsel serve as a team of seasoned and accomplished ministry leaders from around the world who are committed to supporting and providing wise counsel to our Lead Pastor and our other church leaders throughout the year to ensure that our communities work and witness thrives.
Our Pastoral Care Team is made up of Lay Pastors, individuals who volunteer and have been appointed to lead the Missiongathering community through pastoral care and guidance. These are gifted and seasoned leaders who have displayed a deep commitment to the vision, mission, and community at Missiongathering and have a passion for helping our community thrive.
