The Irenic is a non-profit all-ages music and special events venue in the heart of North Park, just north east of downtown San Diego. The venue is home to a functioning church called Missiongathering, San Diego’s inclusive, progressive Christian Church. Profits made from The Irenic support the outreach ministries of Missiongathering, including Urban Street Angels, an organization founded by the church that focuses on helping homeless youth/teens in the City of San Diego by supplying them with housing and other basic necessities.
Former performers at The Irenic include A Great Big World, Julien Baker, Pangea, Cody Simpson, Kings Kalidoescope, David Bazaan, Bob’s Burgers Live, Dam Funk, and many more. Artists hosted at The Irenic are in no way affiliated with or endorsing the views and opinIons of Missiongathering and the views and opinIons expressed by various artists and organizations do not necessarily represent those of Missiongathering.
Rent The Irenic
The Irenic is comprised of three state of the art event spaces. Our main theatre has standing room for up to 400 people, our smaller Community Theatre can hold up to 250 people standing, and our typical courtyard setup is perfect for about 100-150 people. The Main Theatre has high-quality lighting and sound set ups to meet the needs of all performers and events. The Community Theatre and Courtyard require performers to rent or provide their own A/V and lighting. Our venue has a space for concessions, a box office, green rooms, and a lighted patio area.
