What Does It Mean to Be A Progressive Christian?
Many folx who attend Missiongathering come either from conservative religious backgrounds or from no faith experience at all. For both of these groups, the idea of progressive Christianity can seem quite strange.
The Metanoia Course is designed to be four, two-hour sessions where we will explore the perspectives of progressive Christianity as they relate to core Christian beliefs such as the Bible, Jesus, Salvation, and Sin. Before each session, you will be assigned short readings (provided by us) to help you begin thinking about the topic of discussion before we gather. By the end of our journey together, it is our hope to have fueled your interest in exploring progressive Christianity more deeply with us at Missiongathering.
